Bark River Knives
Bark River Knives, formerly Bark River Knife & Tool, is a family owned company in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Bark River defines quality American craftmanship. BRK is run by veteran knifemaker Mike Stewart who teaches and employs a number of skilled knifemakers. Together, they make some of the finest knives made today.
Bark River Knives are quality from the tip of the razor sharp blade to the end of the comfortable handle. Mike Stewart has his own heat treat regimen that exploits the strengths of each steel he uses.
Bark River Knives are made to be used. Mike Stewart designs some of the hardest working knives in the industry used all over the world. Every single knife is made with specific uses in mind.
Hunting knives are designed with field dressing, skinning, butchering, processing or other hunting knife duty. Camping knives are built to take on the most demanding camping tasks. The first time you hold one of Mike Stewart's survival knives, you know you can stake your life on the tool in your hand.
Even with all of the built-in usability, Bark River Knives are a popular prize for knife collectors. Every model is available in a number of varied handle materials--many of them one of a kind.
With new models coming out all the time, collectors need a way to keep up with all of them. This site will chronicle the Bark River Knives from September 2009 on. You can find descriptions and specifications for each knife as well as the dates and approximate quantity of each knife run.
Our hope is for this website to become a great resource for collectors everywhere.
